Intake & Head Gaskets

How do gaskets work?

The car’s engine combustion chamber has pistons that rise and fall as the engine runs. The piston is attached to the crankshaft by a rod that turns the crankshaft as the piston moves up and down. The crankshaft then turns your wheels, while the intake and exhaust valves release the fuel/air mixture from the combustion chamber and exhaust

Positioned between the engine block and cylinder head, the cylinder head gasket plays a vital role in the function of your vehicle’s combustion chamber – helping to seal the area and prevent engine or coolant oil from dripping into the cylinder.
